While he had always been active with conventional business advertising, it became clear to him that creating a web presence was vital to keeping his business in front of prospective clients.

The Keith McKinnon & Co web site is a great example of how a small business or small proprietor can easily and quickly establish an online presence. It’s Keith’s own web site; the ‘cookie-cutter’ constraints of generic online advertising don’t apply, and was created at a fraction of the cost.

Arlene Harris was one of the mums in my wifes mothers group, and when she decided to start her own hair and make up business, she asked for help with registering a domain name, setting up email addresses and getting a web site online.

Blush Hair and Make Up showcases Arlene’s hair dressing skills with loads of photos and testimonials, and provides an easy way for new clients to contact her online.

Along with the web site, Ingeni took care of all the domain name registrations, set up email addresses and designed a logo that captures the feel of the ‘Blush brush’.

After the success of the Belmont Central web site, project partner Belkin Commercial turned to Ingeni to create their own web site.

Since forming in 1993, Maximum had offered specialist motorsport parts for sale through its physical premises in Perth, Western Australia. But with a growing market for its products outside of the local market, Maximum decided the time was right to offer its products both nationally and internationally.

The online shop provides a secure and easy-to-use shopping cart, with credit card payments handled by PayPal.

“We’re very happy with the look of the site and how easy it is for our customers to use”, offered Maximum Motorsport partner Dean Herridge. “At present there is a good base of products which we hope to grow over time, once we’ve reviewed our customers feedback and online shopping trends”.

Ingeni not only designs and maintains web sites. We also provide multimedia services. And for the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship, that means voice-over services.

The series is contested in seven countries throughout South-East Asia and Oceania. Getting the news out at the end of each event is a priority.

With cameramen and reporters on the ground, APRC TV producers edit footage for TV and web news locally. At the same time scripts are prepared and the voice-over recorded at Ingeni’s Sydney studio. The voice-over audio is then uploaded to APRC TV’s production suite in New Zealand for final editing, and distribution to TV networks and the web.

The APRC Live podcast combines news reporting with on-event interviews, and is published in the week immediately following each round of the series. It is available for download or streaming from the web site, and is syndicated via iTunes and RSS.

In addition to the podcast, the APRC Live web site features news content and video clips. So even though the series is held in disparate locations, APRC Live allows rally enthusiasts and fans from all over the world to follow the action as it happens.

A Subaru factory driver in both Australia and China, Dean has also won the Australian Rally Championship Privateers Cup on a number of occassions, and was the inaugural Pacific Cup champion in the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship.

Dean’s site is a great example of the breadth of services Ingeni is able to offer. Since initially developing his personal web site, Ingeni has managed Dean’s online presence with:

With a prize pool worth over $110,000, the competition attracts thousands of amateur anglers from across Australia. After paying an entry fee via a customised shopping cart, which links to PayPal, anglers upload a photograph of their catch to the web site.

The web site also features a photo gallery and video content, as well and general information and ‘news flashes’.

This site was re-built for primary sponsor Pirtek, as a replacement for their original Joomla-based site. It features its own CSS-based WordPress theme, plus customised payment plugins, photo upload pages and ‘back-end’ features such as on-demand reporting and a bulk email facility.

Having retired the old ‘static’ web site, the new Maximum Motorsport site provides the team with a platform to promote its motorsport activities. Extensive news pages, photo and video galleries, information on its rally car preparation services, team management, and Subaru road car maintenance and servicing are all featured on the site.

The site also links to their new online shop, allowing Maximum Motorsport to sell its specialty motorsport products to customers both locally and around the world.

The site was implemented by Ingeni in partnership with Sydney-based web design company Cyberbia, which provides design services to Adobe Australia. The site uses WordPress as its foundation and, in its initial incarnation, a custom theme conceived by Cyberbia and brought to reality by Ingeni.

It’s a great example of what can be done in a very short time frame. In fact the site was taken from design concept to a fully working web site within a week!

Since it’s launch, Adobe Australia have continued to develop the Refresh site, with regular additions of new content and various redesigns of the ‘look and feel’.
